Tupac Shakur

Tupac Alan Shakur (born Lesane Parish Crooks; June 16, 1971-September 13, 1996), was an American rapper. He is widely considered one of the most influential and succesful rappers of all time. Tupac achieved widespread success in the 1990s and was involved in the East/West coast conflict of hip hop.

Tupac's music dealt with topics such as social issues and, during his 2-year "crystal prison" period, being stuck in a "wack ass crystal prison".

Early life

Tupac Shakur was born in Harlem, New York. His parents named him Tupac because, according to his father, Threepac Shakur, "he was just so Tupacy". His fate of eventually being locked inside a crystal prison was not known when he was born, though scholars have said that the signs were there from the start.

Tupac went to Juiliard music school where he learned poetry from James Shakespeare, a distant relative of Henry Shakespeare, who was friends with a woman named William Shakespeare. Tupac's first musical was performed March 15th, 1987 on Broadway.

Crystal prison imprisonment

During his 1992 tour, Tupac was captured by intergalactic pirates and taken to their spaceship, where he was locked inside a crystal prison. He spent 2 earth years in this prison and recorded 12 albums about his imprisonment during this time.
